Thanks for joining me! There are so many people, ideas, and things that make you wonder in what is affectionately known as the Third Sector. It may also be called Not for Profit, Voluntary, Charitable, Philanthropic, Non-profit, People Who Can’t Make It In the Real World, or even Suckers. There are so many points of view, so many values, so many people and they all make it one of the most rewarding and challenging areas to make a difference.
In Canada the 3rd Sector is larger than the Forestry Sector contributing more than 8% of GDP to our communities. Think about it, think of all the trees in Canada from coast to coast to coast. Now think of how much difference there is in your community. You can identify a tree (maybe not the species) but can you identify someone who has beautified, cleaned, and made your community better?
I am hoping that this blog/site/collection of electrons will share some of the great, funny, serious, challenging and otherwise interesting parts of the world in which we live. The lens will probably be me but who knows what will happen, after all I am ‘just zis guy, you know’ (apologies).
